Last weeks trip to Scotland on Wednesday went really well, despite the travelling which was a right pain in the arse. The drive up to Peterhead from Edinburgh was not too bad, even though it’s over 160 miles. The weather was kind with sunshine and reasonable temperatures. However, the following morning the change in the weather was incredible high winds, driving rain and freezing conditions did not make it a pleasant day for work. But saying that the work went well and we were finished ahead of time, which left us quite a bit time to kill before our flight from Aberdeen airport. So we stopped off for a look around the shops in Aberdeen.

Our flight from Aberdeen to Luton was about an hour late, so we didn’t get back to Luton until about 10:30, and then we were messed about with the hire car, I had to drop my mate at Stansted and then it was home to bed at about 01:30 in the morning.

An early morning start saw me leaving for Heathrow at 5:30, thanks fully the traffic was good and I arrived at the airport in plenty of time. I’m glad I left when I did, because it seems an accident cause about 15 miles of queues, which were still there when I drove home in the afternoon. Work went well and we finished at about midday, I did mange to climb the radar tower and at 50m it’s the tallest structure around, apart from air traffic control for many a mile. It was very windy at the top and with not a lot under my feet it was a little disconcerting. I did manage to take a few pictures but, I haven’t checked them out yet, first chance I get I will down a load a few on here, due the high wind and cold temperatures it wasn’t easy taking pictures (making excuses already).

That about sums up my week (boring I know) hectic but interesting and enjoyable, I now just have this week before my operation and two weeks off, at least I’ll get time to blog.
