  • Wednesday Meetings

Tomorrow being a Wednesday, I am off to London for our weekly M&E design meeting (mechanical and electrical). Hopefully this will be the final one while I am employed by this company. I am sure that I will attend many more but not in this capacity. Unfortunately we are having two meetings tomorrow instead of the usual one; however, I am not sure if I am required for the one in the morning, I am still making enquiries into that.

With only 8 working days remaining in my current position I am now looking forward to starting with the new company. But I am being professional about my time still remaining her, I am doing my duties here properly and not hiding anything or deleting essential files like some people have been known to do.

  • US Aircraft Gets Lost

A US plane has been forced to land in Iran after violating Iranian territory, the Iranian semi-official Fars news agency has reported.

It said the Falcon aircraft entered Iranian airspace from Turkey, flying at low altitude to avoid radar.

The agency said the plane was detected by Iranian fighter jets, which forced it to land at an undisclosed airport.

Passengers included five senior American generals and three civilians, the report said.

The agency said the group was interrogated at the airport and then allowed to leave after it was realised they had entered unintentionally.

  • Returned to the Office

We are back in the office after a brief but productive trip to Dorking, plus we had a nice healthy lunch as well. A few problems have been addressed and a way forward has been agreed. That must be some kind of miracle in its self. Seldom do meetings solve any thing they tend to raise more problems. Perhaps there is hope that something’s can be achieved by having meetings rather than the usual scenario of having them just to waste time and for a social gathering.

  • Ready to Go

It’s nearly time for us to depart, we are just getting our notes together and we be ready for the off in about 30 minutes, hopefully it should only last a couple of hours and we will be back in the office early this afternoon, fingers crossed.

Well after the wet start, it has turned out nice the sun id shinning, although there are a few clouds still hanging about. The forecast for the rest of the week is nice though.

  • Dam Busters

    DSC00071

I took these yesterday at the Building Research Establishment (BRE) in Watford. For those who have not seen Dam Busters (where the hell have you been) this is where the testing was carried on the explosive used in the dam buster raid, has the plaque states.

  • The Diet Continues

Yesterday afternoon went very well, I managed to cycle just over sixteen miles and I must admit it felt really good and I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t too cold and it was dry with very little wind great cycling conditions.

I went to see the nurse at 18:00 and was very surprised to see that I had lost another 5 pounds this week, it has been a month since I last visited the nurse and since then I have lost 13 pounds. It’s been exactly 3 months since I started the diet and the official figures are, weight at start 17st 13lbs, weight yesterday 15st 1lb, a total weight lose of 2st and 12lbs. Needless to say I am very happy, that’s about half way towards my goal, but I know it will become more difficult as I get closer to the 12st I have set for the goal, well 12 to 12 ½ stone.

  • Tuesday Morning

Good morning fellow bloggers and welcome to a wet and miserable Tuesday morning, as predicted it is raining once again, it seems that the weather forecasters were right for a change. Not that the weather will make much difference to me as I will be the office most of the day. I have a brief visit to the design consultants in Dorking, but I won’t be driving I’ll be just a passenger.

It is very quiet in here this morning, well it’s still very early, but I wasn’t the first one to sign in, (something I have to now after they cancelled my security pass).

Someone actually signed in at 05:50 this morning, now I thought I was a bit of a nutter getting this early but that beats me hands down.

Well after discovering yesterday that the company and disconnected my mobile I was expecting that this morning I would discover that my email and internet connection had been cancelled, but fortunately it still remains active at least for now.
