The cleaning is also now complete which means time to relax. Caz has just surfaced as well and no doubt she will want on the computer to I will have to relinquish that. I have also just been teasing the cat, making run around after a reflection on floor from my watch, trying to capture and jump on it, just for it to move when ever she got close. Great fun for me but very frustrating for the cat.

Shopping Finished
@ 2008-10-25 – 11:08:17
Well that didn’t take long, walked down to Sainsbury’s, got what we needed (plus a few things we really didn’t) then I walked home. But I now regret buying the cartons of juice, because they get heavy after a while. I suppose you could say it was more exercise to keep me fit, but after this morning’s bike ride, I don’t think I needed any more today, I only want to get fit and not planning on becoming some sort of professional athlete.
I’m just having a shot rest, before we start on the cleaning, then I can relax, catch you all later.

Record Bike Ride
@ 2008-10-25 – 09:23:33
I have returned after what can only be described as a world record bike ride (not quite). This was my fastest time so far, 12 miles in less than 50 minutes, for a fat and unfit git like me that’s outstanding. Only two weeks ago I was doing the same ride in about 1hr 10 minutes, so that’s twenty minutes knocked off my time in two weeks, I knew this hard work would pay off.
Tomorrow is the big one though 18 miles, I’ll be looking for time, of about 1hour 40 minutes as 8 miles of the route is cross country, but for now, I am really happy about my performance and I’ll be walking around all day with a big grin on my face.

Talking to the Lizard
@ 2008-10-25 – 08:09:54
Three-year-old Daniel Giuliani's mother thought he had found an imaginary friend when he said he was off to "talk to his lizard". But later that day she was stunned to receive a call at work from her cleaner - who had just seen a 5in long lizard running round her living room.
The bright green reptile had stowed away from Italy, where Daniel's family, from North Bank, near Haydon Bridge in Northumberland, had holidayed a month earlier.

Like Father, Like Son
@ 2008-10-25 – 08:06:59
A prison bungle led staff to release the wrong man after he was mixed up with his father, the Ministry of Justice said. Father and son - both called Terence Clegg - were behind bars in HMP Durham. The elder Clegg was due for release. But prison officials confused the two men and released the son by accident.
Sons a like a great family the son following in his fathers shoes! -
Dildo downpour
@ 2008-10-25 – 07:42:43
An ice hockey game in Sweden was delayed several times after rowdy fans littered the ice with sex toys.
The incident occurred at the game between Swedish league rivals AIK and Leksand. Fans of Stockholm side AIK bought the offending items to the game and hurled them onto the playing area causing the start of the match to be delayed while arena staff cleared the ice.
The dildo downpour was designed to taunt Jan Huokko, a former AIK player who now plays for Leksand. In June 2008, a video clip of Huokko and his girlfriend having sex appeared on the Internet after the 34-year-old defenceman’s mobile phone was stolen.
The website for AIK’s unofficial supporter group told fans to bring sex toys to the match to remind Huokko of the sex scandal. The fans compounded Huokko’s humiliation by unfurling a banner that read “Bend Over Bitch” that was accompanied by a giant inflatable penis. Vulgar chants directed at Huokko continued throughout the match, which Leksand lost 3-2.
Swedish paper The Local reported that the AIK organisation knew about the fans' plan but decided not to intervene. AIK club representative Mats Hedenstrom explained the club felt things would have been even worse if fans were told they could not bring sex toys into the arena.
Despite the severity of the attempts to put him off his game, The Local reports that Huokko took the fans’ actions in his stride, insisting that the taunting didn’t bother him and that he had nothing to be ashamed of.

Life's a Lottery
@ 2008-10-25 – 07:28:48
One of the world's biggest ever lottery jackpots has been won in Italy. The winning ticket was bought in the city of Catania in Sicily, and is worth 100 million euros ($125 million). Catania is one of Italy's poorest cities, and when the news broke residents took to the streets singing, dancing and waving flags.
The identity of the winner or winners is unknown. The only known fact is that the lucky ticket was bought from a tobacconist in the city centre. Having rolled over since April, the huge jackpot became one of the largest seen anywhere in the world. The local mayor Raffaele Stancanelli said he was delighted for Catania.
"I hope the ticket was bought by many people... and whoever won will feel a moral obligation to do something for the local community," he said. One consumer rights group said the lottery was ruining families who spent all their money on tickets. Before the draw was made it called for the jackpot to be seized and redistributed.
Already one woman in Catania, who claims to have leukaemia, has placed an advert in the local newspaper asking for a share of the money.Italy's Federation of Psychologists and Psychotherapists has issued advice saying the ''winner or winners may experience joy but could also feel pain and paranoia unless they handle their winnings carefully".

End of the First Week
@ 2008-10-25 – 07:06:25
My first week at work in the job went, thanks to all my friends who wished me before I started. It really looks a great job, interesting work and good prospects. Obviously I won’t be telling you who I work for and what the work involves, but suffice to say it’s still electrical project but a lot more important then the last shower of s!*t’s.
The first week mainly involved going through procedures and health and safety, meeting the main people and getting to grips with some of the jobs we are doing. It does involve a fair bit of travel, Aberdeen on Thursday and Shetlands coming up but there are some closer projects in the South of England and some very nice beauty spots, I think so great photo opportunities, which I have neglected in the last couple of months, I just never seem to get the time.
But the photography will take off again very shortly I promise you!

Exercise
@ 2008-10-25 – 06:54:18
We didn’t go swimming last night Caz didn’t feel up too it, so instead I went out on bike once again It was a good ride and I recorded my second fastest time. I will be out again this morning but like last week I’m going to wait until it is day light and as warmed up before I venture out. Tomorrow, will be the long one as usual over 18 miles just under half of it across country which will done in the same area as the 2012 Olympic mountain bike area.
I wonder if I keep training on the route if I would be in chance for a medal?

Saturday
@ 2008-10-25 – 06:47:17
Well here we are again Saturday morning the weekend is upon us, a cople of days of rest and relaxation, well apart from the washing, cleaning and ironing that is. Oh and another to the supermarket to pick up what we forgot yesterday when we did the shopping.
Thankfully it’s not too, washing power, washing up liquid and fruit juice. So I’ll have a walk down town later to pick them up it’s only a 10minute to Sainsbury’s, I think the farmers market is on as well and I always like a good nose around there.
