  • News Review

I have just had a quick review of the news and it seems a mixed bag. Inflation has reached a 16 year high and stands at 5.2%. The sales of houses are at a 30 year low, with estate agents reporting that they are only selling a single house a week. The Government’s bill to extend the length of time terrorists can be held without trial was defeated in the House of Lords, but the Home Secretary Jacqui Smith stated that we need this legislation and will bring to the House an already drafted bill to allow suspects to be longer than six in an emergency.

The good news is that confidence seems to have returned to the stock markets, well for the moment anyway and shares rose by 6% this morning. Just a quick review of this morning’s news.

  • Nearly Lunch Time

I have just noticed it very nearly lunch time, and I’m starving but due to the diet I’m afraid it will be another light lunch again, I have a salad with a small amount of gammon and a bagel, but I do have a few pieces of fruit, well an apple, banana and a plum, I have eaten my other apple already.

I have quite busy this morning, what with the handover and I haven’t even checked the news this morning, I must be slipping. I will have catch up over the lunch period, which is in about twenty minutes, catch you all later.

  • Handover Over

Well my handover went, and it didn’t take us very long to do, so that’s one less thing for me to worry about. I just one more project to handover and I should have complete that by the end of day. Just few more things to do are those aren’t very taxing.

I have to leave a little earlier today, I promised Rosemary that I would take to the doctors and I had totally forgotten about, until that is she phoned and reminded me. Still I’m always in early and what could they do, sack me.

  • Exercise

I was out on bike again last night, and a nice evening it was, no wind and it was quite mild. I didn’t go out until later, mainly due to the fact that I didn’t get in until late, an accident on the Southend Arterial road, sort of messed things up for while. It must have a very serious accident, because the road for closed for most of the night.

Anyway, I did the 13 mile route and it was nice to have the route to myself once again unlike Sunday when it was manic. I’ll not be out tonight I tend to rest Tuesday and Thursday’s but I am out 5 days a week, I am certainly enjoying it now!

  • Diet

Like always I weigh myself on a Tuesday morning, this morning I was 15st 1lb, which is the same weight as last week when I was weighed by the nurse. Which of course means I have lost nothing this week? However, I am sure that the nurse got my weight wrong last week, before I went to see her I did post an article on here saying that I thought I had lost 1 or 2 pounds, but after seeing the nurse she said I was 15st 1lb, a total weight for that week of 5lbs.

I was so ecstatic at losing so weight, I never thought to question her about it, but in hindsight perhaps I should have. I didn’t think I had lost so much in one week but the nurse holds the official records and I was very happy with losing so much in week I went along with her. But I am not going to change my chart, it will go down and look like I was static this week, nothing lost I know my weight is till coming down so I am very happy.

So my total loss in 13 weeks still remains at 40lbs or 2st and 10lbs, still very good don’t you think.

  • Tuesday Handover

Tuesday and all’s well, my countdown clock is now at 3 days, 5 hours, 8 minutes and 9 seconds (but I’m not really counting). This morning I have a handover meeting for one of my projects I am looking after. Once that is over I will have more to do with it. The engineer is coming at 8:00 and it should take about 2 hours, it’s still about 12 months before it starts on site and the design is not yet finished so it should be a simple handover.
