Miracles do happen; England actually won again and in the process scored five goals. Something strange is happening to this England team, have they finally got their act together or is it just a flash in the pan.

We have just got in form our very nice trip down to the seafront, we sat on the wall in the sun and looked out over the river to Kent (that was the only thing that spoilt the occasion), and apart from that it was glorious.  

As predicted it was very busy down there with lost of trippers enjoying the day, hopefully it will last a while longer, after all we haven’t had much of a summer. It seems we have a music festival this evening, the battle of bands whatever that is about, and a fireworks display afterwards. The fun just goes on and on!

LONDON (Reuters) - Great scenery and wildlife but financial situation in need of repair -- collect in person. 

Iceland, which is going cap in hand to Russia for a 4 billion euro (3.2 billion pound) loan to bail out its failed banks, was offered for sale as a wholesale lot on eBay on Friday. Bidding started at 99 pence but had reached 10 million pounds ($17.28 million) by mid-morning on Friday. 

Globally renowned singer Bjork was "not included" in the sale, according to the notice, but there were nonetheless 26 anonymous bidders and 84 bids."Located in the mid-Atlantic ridge in the North Atlantic Ocean, Iceland will provide the winning bidder with -- a habitable environment, Icelandic Horses and admittedly a somewhat sketchy financial situation," the notice read. 

Bidders' questions included: "Do you offer volcano/earthquake insurance?," "Is it possible that my payment will be frozen?," and "Will you accept C.O.D. as a form of payment?" 

I was going to put in a bid but couldn’t find it on ebay.

Car enthusiasts are ignoring the world financial crisis to get their names down for a £1.2 million new car. 

UK luxury vehicle company Aston Martin has had around 100 expressions of interest for its new limited edition 200mph car codenamed the One-77. 

The 7.3 litre vehicle is being made at the company's plant at Gaydon, Warwickshire, and is due to be available in the last three months of next year. 

I don’t think I’ll be buying one, well not his year anyway,lol.

What great morning, went out cycling early well at seven, been shopping with Rosemary, she got her magazines and a book, I managed to succumb and buy a magazine on mountain biking. We were back indoors for just after ten, and now the cleaning and washing is finished. Quite an achievement for a Saturday morning and it’s only quarter to twelve that must be some kind of record.  

We are now having a brief sit down and a drink before we head down to the seafront and enjoy some of this beautiful sunshine we are having. I bet it’s packed down there, even at this time of the year the sunshine attracts the day trippers to the coats. I think the shopper and café owners will appreciate it, it probably wasn’t a very summer for them.

Well am almost ready to go out, I have been out cycling, showered and dressed and have a cup of lemon in my hand, well on the table. It would be difficult to drink and type and the same time. I struggled this morning as I did last Saturday morning, perhaps its because I go out in the evening then first in the morning, plus I was a little faster than usual this morning. 

But it's a beautiful day out, the is sun is already up, and warming the morning air. It was a little chilly when I first set off but it soon warmed, maybe that was because of the amount of clothes I was wearing or because of the exercise. Oh well better finish getting ready, see you all later and have a good day!

Early Saturday morning as usual I am up and about, will begetting ready very shortly to go out cycling. Later I have promised Rosemary I’ll take her into town, she fancies looking for a DVD and some of those gossip magazine in Smith’s. I gives me an excuse to have a browse around Smith’s as well, don’t know what for but I’m bound to buy something.  

I’ll go out at about 06:30 ish, cycle for about a hour and twenty minutes home shower changed and breakfast and out as soon as the shops open should be home before they get busy.
