  • Nearly There

The weekend is nearly upon us, and life is looking good, the day didn’t start very well. But it’s got a lot better, but I still can’t believe I forgot my keys this morning, the first I have every done it, well that I can remember doing it, anyway.

Another hour and I expect to be on my way home, I have done as much as I can to do today and I have just a few loose ends that need to be tidied up.  It looks like being a great weekend weather wise as well. We have nothing stressful or hectic planned just a relaxing weekend, of course I will be out on bike again, but apart from that nothing is planned.

  • Armed Robber

HANOI (Reuters) - Vietnamese authorities are hunting for a brazen masked criminal who robbed a district police station, state media reported on Thursday.

The Dan Tri online newspaper quoted investigators in Quang Nam as saying the armed robber forced the duty officer to hand over his mobile phone and some money.

  • PC Delivery

A policeman who planned to have a stern word with a driver who had just overtaken him instead found himself helping to deliver the man's baby daughter.

Pc Dan Wells noticed the baby was turning blue and the quick-thinking constable moved the umbilical cord which was wrapped around the baby's neck, restoring her oxygen supply.

Anxious father-to-be Michael Nadel had flagged down the police car in south west London to ask for help to get to The Portland Hospital, in central London, as his wife Natalia was in labour.

  • Fifty - Fifty

    _45093872_house_afp226i

A Cambodian husband who separated from his wife after 40 years cut their house in two. He and friends moved his belongings to one side of the house then sawed and chiselled it off.

The man moved his part of the house to his parent's property to live in it there, while the wife continues to reside in her precariously perched upright half.

Brings a whole new meaning to splitting the property!

  • MP3 Player

I will probably have bit of time of my hands today, while I wait for my tender enquires to be returned, I do have a little work to do and it will keep me ticking over for the next couple of days. But I can’t really do a great deal until I get this information back.

So while I’m waiting for this information and tapping away on the keyboard while populating an excel file I am down loading more music on to my MP3 player.

I don’t know why I didn’t get a more up top date on earlier, my old one was128Mb enough for about 30 songs, ish. It use AAA batteries which it used to eat and it was a very good quality, now I have my new with is 4GB, about 1000 songs and a rechargeable battery that is supposed to last about 15 hours, if that’s true or not I don’t know yet as I haven’t tested it out.

  • Not a good Start

Hello good people and welcome to Friday, It’s not been a good start to the day. Last night I locked my laptop in my desk draw, the first time I have done this in almost a year, but the key in my trouser pocket, which also contains my memory stick by the way. This morning being a Friday, I decided against wearing trousers because it’s a Friday a dress down day,  and wore jeans instead.

You can see where this is heading can’t you, I arrive at work and was unable to open my draws, and retrieve my computer. So after a bit of messing about I managed to obtain a duplicate key and gain access to the most useful tool a person has in this day and age. So I am now logged on, but all my personal files are on my memory stick, which is at home, they are also backed up on my home PC as well, just as a precaution, I’m, not that daft.
