  • Conference Time

You all may have noticed over last couple of weeks that our political parties are having their conferences once again. A week bedside the seaside or in some grand hotel living it up on donations from big business or the very rich and privileged, the  cost of which will no doubt be passed on us eventually by higher prices at the check out.

The leaders have or in the Conservatories case will spout enough crap to fill the newspapers for the next month; it will be lies, stretched truth and not worth listening to for the normal person on street. However, if you happen to belong to one of so called democratic parties in will no doubt fill you with hope, contentment and pleasure, but the rest of us it will fill the rest of us with disappointment and annoyance.

As time goes on, it becomes harder and harder to find a truly honest politician who is actually doing the job for the good of the people and not for the good of himself/herself.

  • Paul Newman

It the first chance I have to see the news today and its sad to see that Paul Newman has died of cancer aged 83, he appeared in over 60 films and won an Oscar for the ‘Colour of Money’ in 1987.

  • Sunday A Day of Rest?

Well, that’s it for another week all the jobs are done even the ironing is finished and so am I, it's knackered me out all this housework. Still it has to done, unfortunately I didn’t win the £100 million on the Euro Lottery on Friday night not even a part so I can’t afford a cleaner or house maid, such a shame! I feel it's now time for a rest I seem to have been on the go since I got up, isn’t Sunday to be a day of rest, never seems to work out that way does it.

  • Nearly Finished

The rabbits back, well for a short while anyway am just about to cook us some lunch. We have been hard at work since I was last on here about 3 hours ago. The flat has been cleaned from top to bottom; I have cleaned my bike and oiled the essential bits. Plus I have attempted to repair the tumble drier, but to no avail the thermostat is using technical engineering terms kaput. But after a brief search of the web I have located the exact one I need and have ordered the said bit, so this time next it should be working once again.

We don’t use very often, but during the winter like most people we are unable to get clothes dry so now and again we have to use it, we don’t like too because its so expensive. Oh well I must go and cook us some lunch am starving after my exercise this morning, and I still have to do the ironing yet!

  • Beautiful Autumn Day

Once again its looking like a glorious autumn day, it’s warming up already and the shop and café owners are opening their establishments hoping that the tourists flock to the town to bask in the autumn sunshine.

I have just got in from my Sunday bike ride, all 18 miles of it, 8 across country, my bike needed a good cleaning this, we had a bit of rain middle of the week that parts of the route a little muddy, so I have washed it all off with the garden hose, and I just about to go and dry it and oil a the bits that need it, it the chain and gears.

Better go I want to get it done as soon as possible because I have other things that need doing today, catch you all later.
