  • Down Another Three

Good news once again, I have lost another 3 pounds this week, that’s a total of 25 pounds I have lost in 7 weeks since I began my diet. Once again I am over the moon, but next week is the big one I have to see the nurse again and hopefully I can lose another 3 pounds before then, which means for those mathematicians amongst will have worked I will have lost 2 stone.

I am actually enjoying this diet and the exercise as well, it’s like I have gone back twenty years when I was at my peak, all I have to do is keep it going and I be very happy.

  • Back to School

Today is the last day of the school holiday’s for Caz, tomorrow she starts her last year at school, then it will be university, when she decides which one and hopefully gets enough good grades. I think she will be glad when she starts (I know her mum will), she misses school (strange I know) and all her friends, so she will be happy tomorrow.

She wants to go to her Nan’s today so I have been volunteered to drive her (I don’t mind really), but I have to pick her later but like I say its not a problem to me.

  • Who Would Have believed It

Well the weather forecasters were right after all, who would have believed it, it did rain on my bike ride, a short but heavy shower. It was made worse by the strong wind, but once the shower had finished it did dry me out. And as I sit here tapping on the keyboard it as just started again.

I was a little slower today, but it was a strong wind, I did at one stage think about cutting the ride short, but I did stick with it and managed the whole route, which today took me 70 minutes a very good work though. It won’t be long before I have to extend my route again, but that will need a little thought of where to go, I would like to stay on the seafront, but I already ride the full length there and back. I could extend a little further but the path is quite narrow and you are not allowed to cycle down it. But at the time of a morning I go out not many people are about. But once I go back to work I will once be cycling in the evening when a lot more people are about. I have a few ideas but will check them out in the next couple of days.

  • Is Winter on its Way

While I am sitting here blogging about the weather, I have noticed that the trees across are blowing in the wind. But something else is now very noticeable and that my dear friends, is that leaves the leaves are being to turn yellow. Not all off them but there are quite a few, and they are very conspicuous. Does that mean we are in for an early and cold winter?

Perhaps I should take this up weather forecasting, I couldn’t do any worse than the lot we have at the met office at the moment.

  • Wind But No Rain

Once again I am ready for the ‘Tour de Southend on Sea’ it looking a bit fresh out this morning, but I will soon warm up. No rain yet, we were supposed to get heavy rain all night that was predicated to last through out the morning commute and up until about lunch, and once again the forecaster have got it wrong. Not a drop of rain has fallen yet. These guys are bloody useless; I could do better with a piece of seaweed and my left knee.

They spend years at university studying meteorology and then paid a bucket full of money and their forecasts are no better than they were a hundred years ago despite all the technology such as satellites.
