  • The Season of Primadonna

I have just noticed that the football season has started once again with the Olympics dominating the news it as just sneaked up on us; it only seems yesterday that the last season finished.

I suppose we will have to put up with a load of overpaid primadonna's  dominating the news for the next 9 months. They will be whinging and moaning that the referee picks on them and the decisions don’t go their way, personally I could do with it, I doubt that I will watch one game this year.

I suppose the league will once again be dominated by Chelsea and Man Utd, with Arsenal coming in third and Liverpool fourth, the rest will just be content to hang to Premier status while the promoted clubs like Hull and Stoke will go straight back down and like Derby last will struggle to even win a game. The game has just become to commercialised now and it’s spoilt the game!

  • A Bad Day

I must admit it’s been a very disappointing day, every thing seems to have gone wrong.

Firstly replace bus services on the train due to engineering works. Second the RSPB site was very disappointing there were no hides, or signs post to guide you round the birds were so far from the tracks the Hubble Telescope would have struggled to see any thing, then I got locked in behind a very high gate by the local electricity company (who were working in the area) and I had to be very agile to get round the high fence without getting wet.

When I finally got home I went to the local tyre centre which was closed due to holiday and illness so I can’t get my puncture mended until Monday (I have only been trying to get it repaired for a week).

To cap it all I went to the barbers and that was closed due to holiday, on the whole a day to forget I think.

  • Ready For The Off

Right now am ready to go and face the world, well actually I going to RSPB site at Vange marshes, just down the road from me. Well if you really want the truth its about 15 minutes on the train and then a short walk from the station at the other end.

Have had a shower and some breakfast, consisting of fresh fruit and a cup of tea, very nice it was too. The weather is looking great at the moment, clear blue skies and sunshine, but the forecast is for heavy rain apparently arriving just after lunch. But do we believe the forecasters, no chance, I wouldn’t believe them if my life depended on it?

  • Bloody 50p

I have returned from exercise period on my bike, that’s was good 45 minute work out, less the time I stopped to put some air in the tyres which were a little flat. I wasn’t very happy about the garage though, it cost me 50p to use the airline. It used to be free and I probably used it for less than 2 minutes, it’s a bloody con.

Next stop is the shower then and then I am off out!

  • On Your Bike!

Its early Saturday morning and I am just getting ready to out on my bike, I will probably do 8 to 10 miles this morning and the route I take is quite flat, I did the same route last night. It’s quite a pleasant route down the hill from our flat to the sea front all along the promenade, after about 3.5 miles there are a number of directions I can take, I sometimes just turn round and come back that’s the shorter route and in total is about 8 miles, or I can leave the seafront and come back via main road that’s the longer route but if the traffic is heavy its not very pleasant and there are a few inclines but its not too hard work.

I prefer to do my exercise in the mornings, but during the week, I don’t get the chance it’s only at the weekend do I get the opportunity to go out in the mornings.
