  • They Get Younger Every Day

I am at home now after my hospital appointment, all there is to do now, is play the waiting game, I require surgery but I may have to wait for up to 18 weeks, for an appointment. It will require general anaesthetic but it will be done on the day surgery ward. The good is that it’s not serious and I will need two weeks off work to recover, but I am allowed to swim and ride my bike, weird if you ask me, I can’t work but I can exercise.

The registrar was very young and pretty, but I did feel like asking her if her mum knew where she was, or maybe she was on work experience. They seem to get younger every day.

  • 17 Golds, But the Football Was Crap

We have just won our 17th gold of the games, Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson have been successful in the sailing. It’s been a remarkable games for Team GB, but some of the media are still have ago at some of our athletes, what wrong with these reporters can’t they praise success why do they always have to run people down.

If they want to slag someone off, have a go at out national football, who were totally outplayed last night and were crap (nothing changes does it).

  • Paedophile

Do we really need to have Gary Glitter (Paul Gadd) on the front page of every news paper or on every news website? He is a convicted paedophile and quite rightly no country want him on their soil, unfortunately eventually he will end up back in this country. The news overage his just feeding his ego. When he reappear in this country that’s when we will need the media, because every parent will want to know where this pervert is living.

  • Hard Work Out

That was hard today and I was wrong about the wind to, there was still a strong wind out there and it was blowing into to my face. Well everybody has they good and bad days, this just happens to be one of my bad days. I really struggled coming up the hill at the end, and I am really quite out of breath now and my heart is going 10 to the dozen.

Swimming tomorrow night so it will give my body time to recover before Saturday when I will one again pedal my way down the seafront.

  • Silver

The overnight news from Beijing is that Britain has won another silver medal, following the success of Anne Payne and Cassie Patten with silver and bronze medals in the women’s 10km open water swimming yesterday. David Davies repeated the feat in the men’s race today.

  • Bike Riding

I am ready once again to put my body through the rigours of an exercise session, another bike ride down the seafront here at a damp Southend on Sea. My body has not yet fully recovered from yesterdays exercise I still feel a little stiff. One good thing though the strong wind from yesterday seems to have abated

I have another day away from the office this time I have a hospital appointment, so it’s another day on the sick. But I will be back in the office tomorrow for my last day work before a full two weeks holiday, how lucky am I?
