  • More Gold for Britain

More gold for Britain today, the coxless fours have followed in Steve Redgrave and Mathew Pinsent great tradition winning gold. Looks like being a great Saturday for British athletes our track cyclists are expected to win a hat full of medals (well a couple at least) at the velodrome today. We should have won a few more medal today in the sailing unfortunately the sailing was cancelled to light winds so we will have a wait a little for them.

  • Michael Phelps

Michael Phelps has equalled the 36 year old of Mark Spitz by winning seven gold medals in one Olympics games. Speaking in Detroit Spitz paid tribute to Phelps calling him, the greatest swimmer of all time maybe even the greatest athlete of all time and he expects him, to break is record on Sunday in the 4 x 100m medley, the event has always been won by the American since was included in the games.

  • Two Golds and a World Record

We have another gold! Rebecca Adlington not only won her second gold of the games but also broke the world record in the process. Well when I say broke the world record; it would be more accurate to say she smashed the world record by 2.21 seconds and at only 19 years old, she looks to have a great future and hopefully repeat the feat in London in four years time.

  • Saturday

Good morning fellow bloggers and welcome to the weekend. I have been up now for just over an hour, but I went out almost straight away for what has become my routine for the weekend. I have just finished my bike ride, today I slightly increased the mileage by another two miles.

I found it a little hard work today, but I was out yesterday morning on my bike and last night I did swimming for about 45 minutes. I have now got used to this exercise routine and am being to really enjoy it.
