Security staff at Gatwick and Stansted airports are going go on strike on August bank holiday Monday, and I couldn’t give a toss I’m not flying out anywhere, they could go strike all week as far I care. They have rejected a 3% pay rise, my heart bleeds such a miserly pay increase, well, mine was only 2% and do you see me on strike? No!.
In the last few months quite a few people have been redundant and lost their jobs, I say sack the lot of them and employ the people who have lost their jobs.
I agree, the pay rise is more than enough. I was staying at this Hotel in Gatwick recently and that was fine, but the actual airport experience wasn't great - they need all the help they can get.
