After the Portuguese police announced yesterday that they no longer considered the McCann’s suspects in the disappearance of their daughter Maddie, the McCann’s have vowed never to give up the search for her. What more can parents do I am sure if one of my children disappeared I would never give up the search for them.

 

But then again I would have never left them alone while I went out for a drink and meal. No matter which way you look at it, and no matter how much their friends defend them the McCann’s did neglect their children, what responsible parent leaves their children alone and goes out for meal. It doesn’t matter that they say they returned every half hour to check on them, they still left them alone.

 

What would have happened if they were a fire in the flat, in that case all 3 children would have in all probability have died, as it happened Madeleine was kidnapped? I hope that she is still alive and one day returned to her parents, but in the years to come will the other children blame their mum and dad for putting their own enjoyment over the safety and welfare of their children.
