  • Sir Alan as Mayor!

The Labour party is contemplating having Sir Alan Sugar as their next mayoral candidate, speaking to Vanessa Feltz on the BBC London Radio show, he said it would be a massive challenge but is his wife had told him ‘That they could do worse.’

He told her the first he knew about it was when he was contacted by a national newspaper which said sources within the Labour Party were putting his name forward.

  • Shopping is Finished

The shopping is finished; it will be delivered between 7 and 9 on Thursday evening. A little more expensive than envisaged but still better than going to the supermarket.

  • Lunch Time

Its lunch time and today I did remember to bring in my sandwich and fruit in, am not paying those bloody prices again. I think I will also do the weekly shopping (good ole Tesco, I do like this online grocery shopping). I normally get it delivered on a Thursday night, I used to think it was lazy now I say its helping the environment by not driving to the supermarket (well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it).

I do find it’s a little cheaper as well, because you don’t drop the little extras into the trolley, even though you do have pay £4.50 delivery charge.

  • Andy Murray

Andy Murray the 21 year Scot is British tennis’s only hope of us doing well at Wimbledon. Today he starts his campaign, but what are his chances, realistically of winning at Wimbledon this year or in the future. Our commentators always sing his praises and rightly so but they always temper their, remarks stating that at 21 year he his still young has plenty to learn. However, Roger Federer at the age of 26 is trying to win his 6 straight title, Becker won Wimbledon at the age of 17 and went on to win a couple more after that.

    John McEnroe believes that he still has a lot to do yet, but he should be targeting a quarterfinal place this year around. He went to say;

“He believes in himself but he does need to listen to some people who can give him some solid advice. The biggest thing though, is that he's got to get himself in phenomenal physical shape - better than he's ever been in.

“It looks to me like he's getting better but if you really want to go deep in a major tournament then just look how hard the top guys work.

Nadal is unbelievably fit and Djokovic is the same - these guys are working harder than Murray is, in my opinion.”

But I hope he does well, despite that he’s doesn’t like the English, he his feelings that matter quite clear last year when he said he would support anybody who plays against England, but I don’t hold any grudgers.

  • Am Featured

I seem to have made it on to the featured blog, of course it has always been a goal of mine to be featured, however I didn’t know what the criteria was and even now that I have made it I’m still at loss to know what I have achieved.

If you look at some of the others featured bloggers they appear to have thousands of blogs on numerous blog pages, yet I have only one blog page and have 493 entries.

Still I better not complain they might demote me again.

  • What is This?

    Reed Warbler

Does any body know what type of bird this is, it was taken at Minsmere, but am unsure of what it is, it could be a Reed Warbler of a Wheateater any help would be greatly appreciated?

  • Nothing to Report

Have just been trawling through the news to see if there was anything of interest, and to be perfectly honest I couldn’t find anything worthy of blogging on. I am sure that I will find something of interest later, I just need a little to search the web and find article if intrigue.

  • On Site

We should have a full today, the boss is back from his long weekend away in Poland and the junior engineer is back after his college day yesterday. We only about six weeks away from starting on site, which we are all looking forward too, it will mean no more driving to work every day. In the words of an old advert I will ‘Let the Train take the Strain’.
