  • Home Alone

At home all by myself, everyone has gone out and left me to the football, Holland v France tonight, I haven't watched much of the football but I do like to watch the big teams plus I have Holland inthe sweepstake at work.

I normally do quite well, in Euro 2004, I had Greece who of course won, so I'm hopefull again this year.

  • Next Week's Work Load

Nearly time to go home, have had enough today. Have been reviewing documents only to find them somewhat lacking, it just means we are not compliant with the specification and our quotations are out of date by six months.

Oh well I have just made work for myself to keep me busy all of next week.

  • Big Brother

I have been reading a few blogs some on this site some on another site and I haven’t yet come across a blogger who actually likes or even watches Big Brother. I have to assume that people do watch it otherwise it would have been taken off the air by now.

    I have therefore come the assumption that the people who do it watch are;

    1. Glued to the TV 24 hours a day and have no time to blog.
    2. Totally illiterate and are unable to read or write.
    3. Brain dead.

Considering I have only ever watched on episode and that was the first ever one it still find it amusing that I and others still blog about it, and no matter how insulting we are about the program and people who watch it, not one of the fans of this program every reply to our bogs.

  • Eating Out

My step son and his wife should be arriving around about now (assuming the traffic is ok), he has come up from Wiltshire for the weekend to see his sister (it Caz birthday on Wednesday). Always nice to see them, they are taking Caz out tomorrow for a Chinese (all you can eat £14.00 per head).

I do like a Chinese now and again, I will have to try myself one day, I think Rosemary deserves to be taken out for a meal, but we tend to head for the local Italian. We have other plans tomorrow, but maybe next weekend and I leave the choice of venue to her.

We normally go out for a meal once a month, it the Yorkshire in me that refuses to go out any more than that, well we are know as being tight, if fact we make the Scottish look generous.

  • Big Brother

I have read this morning that Ofcom has received over 750 complaints about channel 4’s Big Brother program. They seem to all about Alex De Gale who has been of bulling and using fouls language.

I don’t watch the program; I fully believe it’s probably the worst program ever to be shown on TV, since TV was invented. It’s probably only watched by mindless morons who have little or no imagination and have the same IQ as a house brick.

Perhaps with this latest incident and those of racial abuse in celebrity Big Brother it’s time to end this debacle and get rid of Big Brother for good, oh and lets get rid of the presenter at the time she’s about as much use as concrete parachute.

  • Afghanistan

Two more soldiers from the Parachute Regiment have been killed in Afghanistan, it brings to 5 the total members of the Regiment to be killed this week. This is largest loss of the life the Regiment has suffered since the Falkland War.

Since 2001, 102 members of the Armed Forces have lost lives while serving in Afghanistan.

A two minute silence will be held in Colchester this morning in memory of those who have died this week.

  • Springwatch

Spingwatch has finished for another year, and we won’t have to put up with Bill Oddie for a few months at least. God, he his so annoying, I like the program (and so does the cat, more of that later), Kate Humble I can put up with but she is far better then that Goodie next to her (only the older ones will understand that) and Simon King is brilliant.

If Mr Oddie was more sensible then he might be better and watchable but why does he insist on trying to make funny remarks, he wasn’t a very good comedian when he was on TV years ago, and he certainly hasn’t improved with age.

Back to the cat, little Gaia, our two year old little moggy loves Springwatch for an hour she will sit in front of the TV intently watching the birds and pawing the screen quiet funny to watch actually. But alas the cat will have wait another year before its back on.

  • Friday

Well here we are once again, Friday the day every one looks forward too, well most people anyway, if you have to work over the weekend, I feel sorry for you, maybe it time you got yourself a new job.

Hopefully today will be better than yesterday, but I don’t think it could get any worse as long as our computer systems keep working I will be an happy bunny.
