So far this year 31 teenagers have been killed through knife or gun crime, 16 these have been in London.
The latest, last night was a 15 year old school girl who was stabbed at least 10 times she was still in her school uniform. Tell me is this normal for a civilised society?

it does seem that we haven't moved on very much, but it strange everybody knows the problems just not the solution.

maybe because we just haven't progressed enough. Plus politicians only work on short term goals with an eye on the next election, just as business work on short term goals with an eye on their next profit announcement.

you know the answer to that. Maybe civilisation is just an illusion, and we have not progressed past tribal feuding. Look at Africa, they are still tribal, settling scores with violence, the balkans and the middle east are also tribal. I read a report about sightings of a lost tribe of Brazil the other day. Apparently there are about 100 of them, still living in grass huts and hunting with spears. Makes you wonder just what we define as progress.
