Not long now, before I leave for home, looking out of the window the roads seem quiet, but there is still 45 minutes to go, lots of time for things to go wrong, you can never trust the M25.
More protests have occurred in Paris over the China’s breach of human rights in Tibet. It seems that this will go on and on; however, I don’t think it will deter China from continuing its operations in Tibet. The mentally of the Chinese Government is one that they will not back and lose face, that would be more dangerous to them, it make them look weak and in capable. They will most definitely continue on what they are doing. I firmly believe that the only way to influence the Chinese Government would be for all the Western countries to boycott the games altogether. Its time for our sportsman to make a stand; and think about other people before themselves. The rights of the human race is more important than sport. The argument that you can change the minds of Government through co-operation and sport does not hold water, what we need is dramatic action, the sportsmen and women of the western world have the power to do this.
