  • Election Time

Once again it’s that time of year when we have to suffer the ‘Party Political Broadcast’ on TV. This normally happens just after the news, where the main subject is the up and coming elections. A fortune is spent on electing a President, Prime Minister or in this case the Mayor of London or the local council.

What do we get after these elections, absolutely nothing? Sorry we do get something, a rise in council tax or income tax no matter who wins, we lose. Who ever gets into office they never fore fill their promises, surely there must be a better?

  • It's Cold Out There

I have just made a little trip outside, I looked out of the window saw the sun shinning and thought to myself, ‘I go outside, phone my beloved and get some fresh air at the same time’. I lasted 5 minutes it was freezing, typical British weather and I’m being a typical Brit by complaining about it.

  • Violnce in A&E

The NHS has called for police to be based in hospital A&E units and in ambulances of Friday and Saturday nights. Nurse and ambulances crews have reported a massive increase in abuse and violence fuelled by binge drinkers.

A number of schemes are all ready running and police are going out with paramedics and are manning some A&E units but doctors and managers want to see more.

Healthcare Commission statistics show that 13% of workers have experienced violence at the hands of patients or their relatives - a figure which rises to nearly a third among ambulance crews.

Some police forces have been seeking to tackle this by getting officers to work alongside NHS staff.
